What’s up with LeBron James?
26-year old small forward “King James” is supposedly the best player on the planet Earth right now, but he’s not. If he was, he would have more than 9 combined points in the 4th quarter in the first four games of the NBA Finals. He had zero last night. Last night’s game, when he scored only 8 points, was the first game since January 5th, 2007 in which he failed to score in double figures. To me, he looks intimidated and very scared to take any shots in the 4th quarter. He has played in 4 games in the NBA Finals so far this year and he is averaging 44.0 minutes, 17.3 points, 7.3 rebounds, 6.3 assists and 2.3 steals per game. Overall though, his playoff numbers still look impressive. James has played in 19 games overall this year in the playoffs and he is averaging 44.0 minutes, 24.2 points, 8.5 rebounds, 5.6 asssits, 1.8 steals and 1.2 blocked shots per game. If LeBron truly wants to be known as a King (and not a Prince), he needs to step up in the last two or three games this year.
