The Dolphins were absolutely no competition for a very motivated Patriots’ team yesterday.  The O-Line was overwhelmed by the Patriots’ D as Ryan Tannehill was sacked 7 times yesterday.  Tannehill completed 20 of 35 passes for 235 yards with 0 TD passes and 1 INT.  He also carried the ball 2 times for 8 yards (4.0 ypc) and he lost a fumble.  Reggie Bush led the way on the ground for the Dolphins with 8 carries for 26 yards (3.3 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 23 yards.  Lamar Miller carried the ball 5 times for 13 yards (2.6 ypc) and he also caught 2 passes for 22 yards (11.0 avg).  WRs Brian Hartline (5 rec, 69 yards), Armon Binns (3 rec, 40 yards), Rishard Matthews (3 rec, 36 yards) and TE Anthony Fasano (3 rec, 31 yards) led the way in the passing game for the Fins.  The Dolphins finished up with 47 yards on 15 carries (3.1 ypc) and they also completed 20 of 35 passes (57.1%) for 209 yards as they only had possession of the ball for 24:22.

The defense was pretty awful for the Fins yesterday.  LBs Karlos Dansby (13 tackles, 1 tackle for a loss), Kevin Burnett (10 tackles and 1 QB hit) and safety Reshad Jones (9 tackles) led the way for the Dolphins on D in this game.  The Patriots finished up with 167 yards rushing on 38 carries (4.4 ypc) and they also completed 22 of 36 passes (61.1%) for 276 yards.  The Dolphins finished up with a 7-9 record in 2012, which is much better than expected.
