The Dolphins have placed 27-year old kicker Dan Carpenter on the Injured Reserve List, ending his 2012 season due to a groin injury.  Carpenter played in 14 games for the Dolphins this year and he made 22 of 27 field goals (81.5%).  He also made all 26 of his extra points as he scored 92 points for the Dolphins this year.  Carpenter has now played in 76 games in his first five years with the Dolphins and he has made 127 of 155 field goals (81.9%).  He has also made 154 of 155 extra points as he has 535 points for the Dolphins so far in his career.
